Description
A great Vintage Arizona Music release: “Hi-Fi Baby: The Floyd and Jerry Story”. In 1965, Floyd and Jerry recorded their first songs as The Door Nobs. Then in 1966, they exploded – they were everywhere – on tour, on TV in L.A. and locally (in Phoenix, AZ) on The Wallace & Ladmo Show, in concerts with major artists, hanging out with the stars and even getting ready to be in a movie. You couldn’t turn on the radio without hearing Floyd and Jerry. They were poised to break out nationally. 27 Tracks: Includes their huge hits “Believe in Things”, “Summer Kisses” and “Dusty”, never-before-heard demos, unreleased masters and songs written by Floyd and Jerry Westfall for other artists. Their first 45, “Hi-Fi Baby”, is a rare, collectors’ favorite and commands big bucks, but the demo version of the song is available here for the first time. Includes a beautiful 20-page booklet with the entire Floyd and Jerry story written by Dan Nowicki, along with rare photos and more stuff. There are 9 tracks featuring Floyd and Jerry with The Door Nobs and 5 tracks featuring Floyd and Jerry with The Counterpoints. Unbelievably only 3 songs on this release have ever been released on CD and most of these tracks have been unavailable for over 50 years!! Brought to you by Mascot Records (M1003).
